The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said has settled all its payment arrears that were due to rooftop solar panel customers up to April 30.

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said a total of Rs. 4 billion has been outstanding for the last 12 months.

He said the CEB will continue to settle all other payment arrears to the renewable energy suppliers, IPPs, and other suppliers on a monthly payment plan and settle them in full within the next six months. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
