Customs yesterday (22) detected more than 16 kilos of heroin concealed in a stock of potatoes inside a container that had arrived from Karachi, Pakistan.Acting on specific intelligence received, Customs examined the refrigerated container in question, official sources said.

The estimated street value of the heroin haul is around Rs. 647,720,000.Three suspects have also been arrested, according to Customs.
